Music Series
I have always interpreted sound visually and I have been interested in the relationship
between sound and vision and in creating a "visual language" equivalent to the
sound structure heard or the external stimulus. I have studied the development
of music concepts, particularly the development of the symphony. Alberti referred
to Architecture as "Frozen music", a statement that has deeply interested me,
and all my work has a deep musical element. In this specific series some of
the works are in response to actual pieces heard, while others are stimulated
by external situations and different moods. The visual language is based on
a rectangular matrix with one square understood as a single note with variations
as chords and durations.
